Green Keys Locksmith Theme Song lyrics

Locked yourself in from your car

On the driveway and

People keep passing you by

Then on the horizon

You see a van driving

with green keys on each of its sides

Here comes your Green Keys Locksmith

He’s got what you need he’s

Licensed and specialized

(Honest and personable)

He’s your Green Keys

Working to set you all free

He’s the best in the bay wait and see

Fired the worst of your workers

on Friday but he’s got

the keys to your store

But you won’t play victim

to burglars disgruntled

if you buy new locks for your doors

call up…

Yelp is the place they all leave

heaps of praise for his services

He's your Green Keys

picking the lock to your dreams

He's the best in the Bay wait and see

lyrics for "Walk Away Slowly"

"Walk Away Slowly"

an old smoky house with burns in the carpet
the structure of which is slanted and skewed
with walls just as thin as its tenants budget
they move in the night like I'll move for you

so call out my name in the dark and I'll kiss you
lend me your hand and I'll do the same
darling don't ever forget how I missed you
and please don't remember the times I ran

orchids of blue slouch over sadly
cause life ain't as good when you're not around
I know you might say I'm overreacting
but you are my water and I am your ground

so call out my name in the dark and I'll kiss you
lend me your hand and I'll do the same
darling don't ever forget how I missed you
and please don't remember the times I ran
and if you should go won't you walk away slowly
the thought of you leaving weighs me down
please reconsider escaping your only
give me the chance to turn you around

don't walk away thinking I'm not the only one
don't you remember how love ain't fair
you can't protest every time that I kiss you
I promise you lover I'll always be there

Lyrics for the new song "I Don't Care"

"I Don't Care"

I don't care what people say
life is better with her than without her
I don't care what people know
they don't know enough about her
and I don't care what people say
never thought of living life without her, no
and I don't care where people go
I just want to go home

I don't care what people say
life's harder with him than without him
I don't care what people know
they don't know a thing about him
and I don't care what people say
screaming names they've never known
and I don't care where people go
I just want to go home

This is one of the few finished songs (including lyrics) we will record officially in June. If you'd like, watch the video for "I Don't Care"

Just a heads up and a few notes:

-I am planning to record a new album in June with at least six brand new songs.

-I have changed a couple things on my website, most importantly, you can now download "Fruition" and "a concEPt of love" for free! From the "Music" page, click on the album covers and you will be directed accordingly.

-I have a show this Friday, January 29th at the Mojo Lounge which is a big step in becoming a more professional band. It is at 9:30pm and if you're free, I'd love for you to come!

I hope to see you all soon!

Free Music...the beginning

Hello, My name is Martin Murray and I am a singer/songwriter from Fremont, California.

My goal is to reinvent the way musicians create a fan base, earn income, and play to crowded venues. Up until recently, a songwriter could get noticed by a major label if he was talented enough. The label would invest money up front, paying for the recordings, the distribution, the promotion, and perhaps even the tour bookings. In time, the label would then recoup their expenses and the artist would get paid only after the label made their money back. This model for music is outdated and slowly deteriorating. With the advent of the internet, file sharing, bit torrents, and peer to peer networks, a model like the one described is no longer needed. With modern technology, I can record my own music for very little money, promote it, and distribute it to thousands (potentially millions) of fans across the world from the comfort of my home. The final step is to create a fan base that no venue or booking agent can ignore, ensuring that only the best music is selected to play any given venue.

This goal begins with a mission statement. From this moment on, I do not intend on selling my music in a traditional sense any longer. Instead, my music will be available for free for a yet-to-be-determined amount of time. It is ignorant to believe that anyone can protect their copyrighted material when one considers today’s technology. It is now possible to release a song online today and by tomorrow, there could be ten million copies of the song distributed, downloaded, and shared “illegally” to listeners worldwide. I intend on embracing rather than fighting this fact.

While labels still insist that the old model can work, they are in a losing battle. Most major chain music stores have filed for bankruptcy. Even Itunes will begin to feel the pain when more people become savvy to the fact that almost any music you could ever want is available for free. A change in the world of music is coming. The days of the major labels being the primary music distributors are numbered. It is time that we as musicians, and music lovers, change with it.

In short, I am asking you to listen to my music. You can listen to my songs from my website

www.martinmurraymusic.com

or from my Myspace page:

www.myspace.com/martinmurraymusic

If you like my music, you can have it for free. You can listen to it, copy it, use it as your own, give it to your friends, exploit it, attempt to sell it, whatever you want.

As of now, I am at the beginning stages of this idea, which is to your benefit. As a way of kicking this off the ground, I am sending physical CDs to you at no cost at all. Simply visit my website, email me your name and address, and a CD of mine will arrive at your doorstep in the near future. You will find many more details through my website. Thank you for taking time to read through this and I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely, Martin Murray

P.S. I have decided that only the first 50 to respond to me in any way will receive free one physical CD without paying any shipping costs at all. Completely free!! Please respond quickly or I may not have any CDs left!

My first and, undoubtedly, most boring of posts.

My name is Martin John Murray. I'm writing this blog for a couple reasons. First, I am a singer/songwriter with (a very limited, but growing number of) fans who I care about greatly. This blog will be a supplement to my website and a place where fans can find much more about my daily life than the website offers. Second, I am keeping this blog as a modern day journal to chronicle anything that occurs in my life worth remembering. Since technology makes it increasingly easier to document life through script, sound, image, and video, it seems only fitting to use a medium such as this than a thick, outdated, leather bound alternative.
